Back In England!

I haven't blogged for the longest time ever! I have started a new adventure and now want to start writing about what I experience each and every week while I am here in Liverpool, England.

Not much time left at the internet at the library right now. Waiting to get it installed as well as my phone and television cable this Saturday. Then I will feel back to normal.....or as close as I can.

Just wanted to let everyone know that there will be lots more blogs coming your way now. Facebook is great, but doesn't capture the moments and experiences like blogging does.

Less Than 4 Months To Go.....And Dying To Leave!

If I said that I was not itching to leave Korea, I would be lying significantly. I have to say the last few months have been the hardest time that I have spent in Korea.

I think that is mainly due to me, of course. I just cannot stomach the ignorance of the Korean people as a whole anymore. I try to be positive everyday, but something always happens to change that......all the time.

From being banged and barged on the buses and subways, to hearing the disgusting wind-up to the spit, to teachers talking on the telephone in my classroom while I am teaching, to the drunken Koreans asking you 'Hey, where are you from?" It is all a bit overwhelming to say the least. Time to move on, I suppose.

I will miss the free lifestyle here, but not the people and certainly not the job. You cannot teach here. It is like having handcuffs on and sometimes even worse than that. The Korean education system lacks imagination, consistency and dare I say, they care more about money than really progressing any of the students in English.

I was on the bus last week, minding my own business when I felt this 'shove' in my back. That is probably the only way I can describe it. It was not a tap, it was more like a jab or shove. Anyway, I turned around and there is this 'adeshi' (middle-aged man in Korean language) who proceeded to ask me, "Where are you from?" I immediatley replied with, "Fuck off, don't touch me, you piece of shit!" He looked at me and then said, "Sorry!"

That mentality is what drives me mad and it doesn't matter how many times you try to drum the protocol of behaviour into the Koreans, they either don't listen or don't give a shit. No wonder none of the Koreans have management positions in any other countries' businesses outside of Korea!

Anyway, enough of this for now. I am leaving either May 2nd, 3rd, or a day earlier. I have an interview at John Moores University to attend Teacher's College for September 2009. I am hoping to teach French and Spanish at high-school level. I have the interview on May 22nd, which hopefully will be the same time that we know Liverpool have wrapped up the Premier League title......lol.

I am ready to go as far as studying and preparing to leave goes. All I need now is to save as much money as I can until I leave. The exchange rate is shite at the moment. The Won has gone for a shit financially, so it makes it more challenging to have to save money.

Enough of me. How was everyone's Xmas and New Year? Hope you all had a great one and I wish you all the best for the new year and the future. Keep your eyes on this space, more to come than the last few months!

Friendship: Liverpool vs Celtic.....Awesome!

Chubby's 12 Days Of Christmas......Foul Foul Language!!!!

Chubby Brown's Remake Of A Classic......Language!!!!

Bit Of A Hiatus!

For those of you that read my blog regularly, I have to apologize. Facebook has taken over most of my time and plus that fact that I can't blog at work due to a shitty computer, I really have not been blogging at all.

I will try and blog a couple of times a month, but I can only promise that. I have an interview in Liverpool, England in May to enter into Teacher's College in England.
I will be leaving Korea at the end of April and then living in Liverpool, England.

Until then, I will be blogging very little, but I promise once I get to England, the blogging will start up again. New challenges and new experiences. So long for now and hopefully I will have a few blogs on here after Christmas. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you and I hope that you all have a healthy holiday period.

AC/DC Have Never Been Anything Different For Me!

Anytime when I need a real good morale booster, I always listen to any album by AC/DC......It has always been that way for me. From running on the treadmill to the "Back in Black" album or sitting on the subway listening to the album, "Highway to Hell," to flying to another country listening to "Dirty Deeds." I have and always will love this group. They have a simple formula towards writing music. Rock and Roll, man! I love this shit.
Check out this article that has just been posted on CNN. I love the new album......Black Ice......suits the economic climate right now and has some 'kick-ass' tracks on it, dude!!!!!!

Joe Strummer.....Gone But Not Forgotten....Talking About Punk Rock....

Absolutely Love This Sign.....Fella Is Famous For Being Outrageous!

This fella owns a restaurant in North Versailles, PA.....He changes the sign whenever he gets another idea about something he doesn't like. This one is a classic and could be used anywhere in an English speaking country where immigrants start complaining about speaking English there.......Soooooooo funny!
