Liverpool's F.A. Cup win over Manchester Utd, the first in 85 years!

After more than an 85 year drought, Liverpool finally defeated their rival and nemesis, Manchester Utd. Peter Crouch scored in about the 20th minute with a powerful header to send the Anfield crowd into a frenzy.
It was a well deserved win, although the quality of football at times was quite boring and unadventuress.
There was however a sad note to the victory; Alan Smith was badly injured at the end of the game, breaking his ankle and leg at the same time while blocking a free-kick.
Over 8 minutes of injury time was played due to the long delay caused by the medical care administered to Alan Smith. Sadly, his dreams of going to the World Cup are now finished..... he will be out for at least 8 to 9 months. Fortunately, he is very young and this will not be a career threatening injury.
Liverpool now move into the quarter-finals of the FA cup with the draw to be held for the next round soon.

Hey Paul,

I love your blog! I found out about it from your mum and dad! I was over at the their house 3 or 4 times fixing their old computer and getting them setup with their new computer and they told me about it. I've been hooked ever since! Keep up the updates!
