A Few More Names To Put Faces To!

Here are a few pics of various people that I have may have mentioned on my blog as well as a few other snapshots.

The first one is of infamous Rob who is strangling Jason at Benchwarmers, a foreign owned bar in dowtown Ulsan that is frequented by the local foreign community. The owner is Troy who is from the East Coast of Canada. The other foreign bar in Ulsan is Tombstone, owned by 5 foreigners, which has its own website that I will include at the end of this post.

The next pic is of Jeff, one of the owners of Tombstone with his Korean friend. I don't know the guy's name, but I have met him on several ocassions. It was taken at Dan's wedding of course.

This pic is of Kyoung Hee, my girlfriend and our friend Hae Sook who is going to Ottawa in 2 weeks. She is an awesome girl with a heart of gold and it is always fun when we get to hang out with her. Her boyfriend is Clement who is a dear friend of ours and is now back in Canada and going to start university in September this year. She is going to Canada for 6 months and will study English while she is there. She is currently working as a teacher at G'N'B English school in Ulsan. Hopefully, I will be attending their marriage in the near future. Clement has already asked me to be his best man!

The next pic is just a pic of some Korean food. This is probably the most common style of food in Korea; kind of like a stew. This particular dish does not have a lot of side dishes, which are always complimentary, but if they were there, there would be no room to move as usual. The side dishes are always in the same small white bowls that you can see in the pic. The orange stuff that you can see is Kimchi, which is Korean cabbage and everyone eats it. The other white stuff in the other dish are mushrooms, one of about 20 different types that they offer here. I love mushrooms, by the way!

This pic is; left to right; Dave, Matt Wurderman and Aussie Matt who are friends of ours from the Wonshot Wanderers football team. Matt looks like he always does; blitzed!! Sorry Matt, but if the shoe fits, then wear it.... haha! Aussie Matt is dead fit and runs like the Roadrunner when he is on the field. Matt played in goal and Aussie Matt played up front or in the midfield. This pic was taken at Benchwarmers just as we were leaving on Sunday morning at about 2.30am.

Another pic of Dave and I taken at a small beer place where we watched the second half of the Man U vs Chelsea game, when sadly Wayne Rooney was stretchered off with his broken foot. Chelsea of course clinched the title that day and thumped Man U 3- 0 at the same time!

This pic is of Andy and his wife, Gee Hee I think.... can't remember her Korean name, sorry! Andy is one of the part owners of Tombstone as well. Dave and I recruited Andy here back in 2000. I guess he liked the place!!!! Anyway, he just got married a few months back and the girl beside them is Jeff's wife, Hae Jin...sorry don't know her name either. I am terrible with Korean names!!!! Jeff is also one of the other part owners of Tombstone and he is in the previous pic with the Korean fella that I mentioned.

This pic is of the wedding hall at the Lotte Hotel in Ulsan. The Crystal Ballroom. This is where Dan got married last Sunday, May 30th. 2006. Just a shot of me taking a shot of the groom and bride and family.

This pic is of Kyoung Hee and I outside the wedding hall with the back drop of a tropical garden, which is actually a place where you can eat and sit. It has a very Asian theme to it with a huge tiger and palm trees to make it look authentic.

Here is the webite link to Tombstone Bar in Ulsan. Check it out, it is quite well done.
